His highness expressed his joy in honoring a new class of University's graduates, ''in graduating these young constellations, a new generation of academics will join the previous generations in order to make Kuwait's scientific edifice prosperous and lofty, and enrich Kuwait with young creative energies that are vital and enthusiastic. He added that Kuwait, represented by its leadership, government and people, all strongly believe that the young is the future and the persistent hope of Kuwait, thus the country has dedicated its effort and attention to the University's graduates, so they can hold their degrees with pride.
On her part, Dr. Modhi Al-Humoud, the Minister of Education and Higher Education, said that the graduation ceremony is a memorable day in the history of our beloved country, where an educational and a scientific edifice is blessed with an elegant honoring by its wise leadership to honor the knowledge's seekers who exert their efforts and look forward to achieve what they aspire in order to enforce Kuwait as developed and advanced country in all fields and areas.
She pointed out that those students, who study in the university in its various disciplines, are the pillars of the future rising and the mainstay of the sustainable development and that development and advancement are not measured by wealth but rather by educated and trained human energies who will create wealth and advancement. The Universities and its faculties are human factories, and so most countries have managed to create distinguished universities.
On his behalf, Dr, Abdullah Al-Fuhaid, President of the University, asserted that graduation is the first step to prfessional life and it is not the end of the educational process, so that the graduation ceremony is called the Commencement ceremony, that motivates students to pursue education and experience in the applied scientific field, and so continuing education makes us always connected to science and knowledge. At last, He thanked his highness the Crown Prince for sponsoring and attending this ceremony.
The valedictory speech was delivered by Fatma Al-Hasawi, who said that scientific advancement is tributary to development as it is the secret of nations' development, pointing out the never ending support given by our wise government and leadership to obtain knowledge and education as the time has come to serve our country and put into practice all the obtained knowledge to serve our beloved Kuwait.
