Non-Degree Students

Registration conditions for non-degree students
According to the resolution of the University Council on 18/4/1998

  1. Students must have a high school diploma or its equivalent (taking into account the need to bring a certified copy of the high school certificate)
  2. Allowing these students to study 16 study units at the most in the regular academic year, or 9 study units at the most in the summer semester under the title (Non- Degree Students)
  3. Paying 50 K.D fees for each study unit and 100 K.D for the lab.
  4. Students must refer to the Deanship of Registration and Admission to receive the registration card in order to determine the courses they wish to register.
  5. The registration of non- degree students in the study vacancies is based on the approval of the Deanship of Registration and Admission after finishing the processes of dropping and adding.
  6. Students should give grades transcripts of the courses they studied in K.U under the title (Non- Degree Students).
  7. If students drop some or all courses before the end of the second week of study in the semester, they are entitled to have 75% of the paid tuitions, and if they drop during the third week, they are entitled to 50% only of the paid fees and students are not entitled to recover any paid amount after the third week. The Students Affairs Committee estimates the amounts that students can recover when approving the drop of the summer semester.
  8. Applying the articles 1,9,10,11,14,15,24,26,29 of the basic regulation of the courses system on (Non- Degree Students).
  9. Students must not exceed the registration of 46 units according to the system.
  10. Students who have been expelled for an academic or disciplinary cause cannot register in the study according to the system.
  11. Kuwait University is not obliged to accommodate these students in the internal housing of the University.
    An important note: Registration in the system of the Non-Degree Students does not mean accepting students at the University and there is no obligation later to transfer students to the University.
