University President
  1. The university's president administrates the university's academic, management, and the financial affairs. He is the representative of the university before other organizations and institutions. He is also responsible for the execution of the university's laws and regulations. He, in addition, is responsible for:

    1. Supervising the planning and execution of study plans and programs.
    2. Fulfilling the university's needs for faculty, technicians, and assisting staff and elevating their performance.
    3. Preparing necessary plans and programs to provide the university with Kuwaiti faculty.
    4. Supporting university's constructions and provide them with library services, equipment, and utilities according to scientific and academic directions.
    5. Supervising faculty, teaching assistants, and students' affairs including university libraries and Youth Welfare in the various scientific and social fields.
    6. Monitoring work level at the university in all academic, administrative, financial, and technical areas; in addition, the president monitor's the execution of the university counsel's policy and the deans committee.
    7. Preparing the yearly report of the university's affairs whether academic, educational, administrative, or financial. The report includes a demonstration of the university's activities, its accomplishments and opinions and evaluations regarding the employees' level. Furthermore, the report shows academic research, studies, and exams and offers proper solutions to avoid the possible negatives. At the end, the president will send the report to the deans' committee and the university counsel.
    8. Inviting visiting professors, by the approval of the counsel's chair, for periods exceeding one academic semester and specifies their awards.
    9. Proposes the emeritus doctorate to those who played an important role in their countries, their nations, or for humanity according to the person's accomplishments, which the university counsel assesses them and, therefore, approves for the emeritus doctorate's issuance.
